The first place you'll see is the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, which is Egypt's largest Roman Cemetery. They are cut into the rock and have three floors. Look at this old gem, which is a reminder of how complicated Roman grave customs were.
The tour goes on to the famous Library of Alexandria, which is the biggest library in the world with more than 8 million books. Check out its large court, which is filled with statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy the First. Here are the President Sadat Museum, the Impressions of Alexandria Museum, and the Manuscripts Museum (which you can skip). Please be aware that you need a ticket to get into the reading area, and the library is closed on Fridays and holidays.
After that, your car will take you to see St. Mark's, Africa's oldest church. As you move, you will see the historic city and the historic buildings in the area, which are built in baroque, Italian, and French styles. Right after that, we'll walk by the dig site for the Old Roman City of Alexandria, which has Roman houses, the ruins of the Amphitheater, the Great Tomb, and other artifacts. You are not allowed to go into these dig sites, but you are welcome to watch from the outside as our guide talks about how important they are historically.
Go for lunch at Egyptian Fish Restaurant to enjoy the traditional seafood at one of the famous Alexandrian restaurants.
Keep on exploring by stopping at the antique funfair, the tiny Abbo Elabbas Mosque, and the historic Quaitbay Castle, which was constructed on the foundation of Alexandria's ancient lighthouse. From the castle's rooftop, you may take in breathtaking views of the city (photo stop).
Before continuing on to Montaza Gardens, stop for some freshly squeezed juices (not included) and a visit to the monument of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria. The Montaza Gardens, often called the Love Garden, are a picturesque haven for lovers. They include the royal gardens of King Farouk, the palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek, and the famous Montaza bridge, which leads to Tea Palace Island.
Before making your way back to your hotel, your tour will pass by the iconic Stanley Bridge, a prime example of the city of Alexandria's blend of old and new charm.

Day 1 : Alexandria
After your cruise ship docks in Alexandria harbor, a Nile Cruisers’ tour guide will pick you up from the port to start your guided tours and drive to Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa

then you will drive to Qaitbay Citadel, and after you will go to a fish restaurant for lunch, and after a break you will go to, Alexandria Library. After visiting the library, your guide will take you to Morsi Abu Abbas Mosque, which was constructed in the year 1307. This magnificent mosque provides visitors with a glimpse into the most attractive example of Islamic architectural design and décor to date.
